Indulge Tea - White Teas

White tea is a pale brew that tastes delicate and sweet, with little or no grassy taste that is sometimes noted in green and black varieties. Young tea leaves from the Camillia Sinensis plant are carefully plucked before the buds have fully opened. The buds are covered with silver fuzz that turns white when they are steamed and dried, which is how some say white tea got its name.

Rather than being air-dried, white tea leaves undergo less processing and are steamed. This process keeps the leaves closer to their natural state and increases the tea's polyphenols that are known to promote health and well-being. A six ounce cup of white tea has approximately 40 mg of caffeine. While preparation of white tea may vary by blend and taste preference, typical brewing guidelines include using two teaspoons per 12 to 16 oz pot. Hot water (160-180F - not boiling) should be used for brewing and steeping time ranges from three to five minutes.

Premium White Tea from the Fujian Province of China infused with the taste of ripe Tangerines. Small pieces of dried Tangerine are added as well. A wonderfully smooth and subtle Indulge Tea -- delectable both hot and cold.

Glenburn White Starlight

A premium White Darjeeling Tea from the famous Glenburn Estate in Darjeeling, India. This Indulge Tea features tender, unopened buds gathered in the second flush of early summer. The brew combines the flowery bouquet, subtle body and gentle sweetness of white tea with a touch of muscatel character. Tea Board of India Certified Darjeeling.

White Peony (Baimudan) Tea

Long, silvery buds blended with light and darker tea leaves that together brew into a delightful orange-hued liquor. This tea offers the drinker a soft, slight toasty flavor.
